I am or have been a soccer, football, basketball, baseball, karate, gymnastics, band, dance, choir and drama mom. I'm conservative, hardworking and tough. My husband makes a good living for my family, but I clean my own house (and other people’s, too), do my own landscaping and cut my kids’ hair to help out. And somehow we are considered wealthy by the left wing extremists. Guess what? If we weren’t over taxed, I probably wouldn’t have to do everything I do. And we definitely won’t be in line for any of Obama’s tax cuts, because we’re wealthy.
I have four children, three boys and a girl. I devote almost all of my time to them, and this doesn’t make me a bad Mom. This makes me love them more. It’s not a sacrifice. It’s my responsibility, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world. It makes me a better woman. That’s right, a better woman!
I am not a member of NOW. I am what I call a true feminist. I believe women are just as capable as men at most things. But I understand that we were given different roles by a Higher Being. I am performing my role to the best of my ability. I love it!
My husband and I give away about eleven percent of our income every year to our church, which provides tremendous relief and support for those in need. I am also involved in several charity projects a year. I personally spend between three-ten hours each week working with and for the children at my church. I volunteer at my kid’s school, and I’m a member of both the Cub Scout and Boy Scout Committees my children are a part of. So I get pretty upset when the Left tells me I’m selfish for wanting to cut back welfare for people who aren’t willing to work and who sit around each month waiting for the government to send them my money. That’s my money, and I want it back.
I am sick of the media telling me that Sarah Palin is against “women’s” rights. She is against murdering unborn (and sometimes just born) babies. And so am I! I feel for the Palin family right now. I hope to never be in their situation, but if I am, I will handle it the same way they have. I’ll walk the walk like she does. Hopefully by the time my children are even old enough to understand what Roe vs. Wade is, it will have been repealed. And hopefully the good state I live in will have made abortion illegal. I’m waiting.
I said I was tough, but I’m mostly gentle and loving. I have a tender heart and hate to see others suffer. But I will stand up for myself, my children, my husband and my country! Seven years ago, my country was attacked. And we went after them. I thank God every day for our soldiers and the protection they afford my family. If my children want to fight for their country when they are of age, there will be no prouder mom than me.
Again, I walk the walk. Conservatives do. I’m like most conservative women out there. We love our husbands, our family and our country. We stand up for what is right, and not only because it helps us forward our careers or our agenda. I’m a hard working, family loving, lip-stick wearing conservative woman. Nothing better!
